A woman from Sprague River allegedly shot her boyfriend in the chest Friday night, and she's been charged with attempted murder. The Klamath County Sheriff's office said in a release 38-year old Michael Schmidt sustained an accidental gunshot wound to the chest and was taken to Sky Lakes Medical Center in serious condition. 50-year old Anita Marie Masaitis has been charged in the case, and police continue to wait on a statement from Schmidt .
