Where is that wolf headed? Evidently to Jackson County. This is the first wolf confirmed in southwest Oregon in 65 years, and satellite tracking systems found the the wolf in northeastern Jackson County on Sunday. The animal has been wandering since September 10th and has visited ten different counties, including Deschutes and Klamath. Biologists say there is a high likelihood that other wolves without collars have reached the Cascades, but there is no indication that this collared wolf is part of a traveling pack.
