If bed taxes are any indication, tourism has been down in Klamath County since July. July was actually a great month, but collections of the tax charged for hotel rooms, bed and breakfasts, and campsites have been down since. The Klamath County Board of Commissioners last week approved the distribution of the transient room tax for July through September. The tax funds tourism, museums, the Klamath County Fairgrounds, among other things.
