The Oregon Military Department is installing 500 solar panels on roofs of existing buildings near Christmas Valley in Lake county. Funding for the project is from the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act through the Oregon Department of Energy. The solar panels will produce enough energy to power 21 homes.
